PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a video image with higher quality from which a interference wave is eliminated by changing characteristic control of an adaptive filter depending on a state of various interference waves so as to cope thoroughly with the state of the various inference waves. SOLUTION: A frequency conversion/clock generating circuit 3 receives an IF signal with a specified frequency outputted from a TV tuner 2 receiving a broadcast wave and generates a digital IF signal a digital local signal and a clock signal. Furthermore, a digital E spot interference disturbance eliminating circuit 4 processes the digital IF signal and the digital local signal so as to eliminate an E spot disturbance component included in the digital IF signal and applies D/A conversion to the obtained digital video signal of the NTSC system and then generates a video signal of an analog signal form. A filter characteristic of a Hilbert transform adaptive filter circuit 18 is controlled with a filter tap coefficient signal outputted from a disturbance wave detection filter coefficient control circuit 17 and in response to the control processing.
