PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program photographing method capable of performing the control including photographing condition such as color, sensitivity, and to provide an electronic image pickup device capable of executing the program photographing method. SOLUTION: On a table 300, registered variable values are registered in advance at every program photographing mode. In the registered variable column 320 of the table 300, preset registered variable values (zooming direction, emphasized colors, sensitivity, WB(white balance), the propriety of soft focusing processing, cross-filter processing, and contract emphasis in addition to the conventional stop and shutter speed) are registered at every program photographing mode. When a user selects a program photographing mode, the variable value corresponding to the selected program photographing mode is fetched from the column 320 and set and photographing is performed.
