PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a comfortable living space by forcibly ventilating an attic. SOLUTION: A ventilator comprises a ventilating fan 15 which is fixed to a wall surface 13 of an attic 11, a power source 12 for giving driving power to the ventilating fan 15, a temperature sensor 20 for detecting temperature of the attic and a controller 18 for controlling these portions. When the temperature in the attic has become not less than 40 deg.C, the temperature is detected by the temperature sensor, followed by simultaneous driving of the ventilating fan and an intake fan by the detection output. Thus, the air in the attic is forcibly ventilated. In this way, the temperature of the second floor is lowered and a comfortable living space is realized. When a solar cell is employed, a living space which is tender for environment and which is energy saving can be realized.
