PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil burner which can be feedback controlled such that oil supply flow rate can be detected accurately, oil can be supplied to a burner at an accurate flow operated from a required quantity of combustion heat, and an accurate oil flow rate ensured for a desired oil supply flow rate. SOLUTION: Oil being supplied from an oil tank 10 through an oil supply path 30 is subjected to flow control through a fuel supply actuator 20 before being fed to an oil burner 40 and burnt. In such an oil combustor, an indirect heating flow sensor 60 is arranged in the way of the oil supply path 30 and a controller 54 performs flow rate feedback control of the fuel supply actuator 20 by comparing an oil supply flow rate detected by the indirect heating flow sensor 60 with a set oil supply flow rate operated previously in correspondence with a required quantity of combustion heat.
