Process for drying granulates comprises feeding the granulates that have been dried in a dryer (1) to a conveyor (3) via a feed (2) from the dryer. The dwell time in the dryer is controlled by the speed of the conveyor. An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus for carrying out the production of the granulates comprising a dryer and a feed for feeding the granulates to the conveyor. The feed is formed as a chute and has a U-shape cross-section. The dryer is a fludized bed dryer.
