PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator door device capable of operating at high speed while reducing vibration and noise when opening/closing car doors and hatch doors. SOLUTION: An elevator door device comprises a power transmission means and a motor 2 for opening/closing hatch doors and car doors 7, 7'; a rack 36 horizontally movable by the power transmission means; a pinion 34 rotated being meshed with the rack 36; a clutch means connected to the pinion 34 to transmit or cut off power to the hatch doors; and a hatch door locking means interlocked with the clutch means and positioned in a lock release state to make the hatch doors movable when the clutch means transmits power and positioned in a lock state to fix the position of the hatch doors when the clutch means cuts off power.
