PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the zooming action of a finder from being executed when a step zooming system is adopted and a focusing action is executed by preventing the tooth surface of a first gear from abutting on that of a second gear even when the first gear is rotated in accordance with the focusing action in the case that the focusing action of the photographing optical system is executed. SOLUTION: When the zooming action is executed, a zoom lens is extended to a prescribed position. In this case, the cog 55a of the small gear 55 is pressed by the cog 33a of the large gear 33 rotating counterclockwise. Thereafter, the gear 33 is rotated clockwise by being reversely rotated and the zoom lens is restored to an initial position. Besides, the cog 33a of the gear 33 is retreated from the cog 55a of the gear 55 and the left adjacent cog 33b thereof abuts on the cog 55a of the gear 55. When the zooming action is executed on such a condition, the gear 33 is rotated counterclockwise and the focusing action is executed within a range that the cog 33a abuts on the cog 55a of the gear 55. Thus, even when the gear 33 is rotated, the gear 55 is not rotated. Therefore, a variable power action is not executed by the zoom finder.
