The fluidizing effect acts not only in one plane but also in a second plane in a direction which is perpendicular to the first fluidizing plane. The fluidizing device comprises a baseplate(1.1) with a rib(1.6) extending in the longitudinal direction and upon which is stretched a gas-permeable cover(1.8). By its ends the cover is screwed to the baseplate. A spacer(1.11) transmits clamping force from the screws onto the sealing faces(1.7). A spring element(1.12) and elastic insert(1.10) are preclamped by the screws by such an amount that the porous cover can lift slightly at the ends when the fluidizing chamber is pressurized. With no introduction of fluidizing air into the chamber the spring tensioning in the screws ensures a secure sealing against the entry of the mass product into the fluidizing chamber.
