PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive composition having a sufficiently long pot life, and excellent durability and adhesiveness by using a compound having at least a specified amount of uretedinedione rings. SOLUTION: This composition comprises formulating 10-100 wt.% compound (A) having at least 100 eq/t of uretedinedione rings, 0-90 wt.% active-hydrogen- terminated compound (B), and a glycidyl-containing compound (C). None of these compounds is an isocyanate-terminated one. Component A is particularly desirable a crystalline polyester urethane obtained by reacting a polyester polyol with a uretedinedione-ring-containing polyisocyanate and, optionally, a chain extender in an OH/NCO molar ratio of at least 1. Component B is desirable to formulate a crystalline polyester urethane having a branched OH concentration of at least 200 eq/t, a number-average molecular weight of 5,000-100,000, and a melting point of 50-130 deg.C (as measured by differential scanning calorimetry) and is used in an amount of a ratio A/B of 10/1 to 1/10 by weight.
