PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniform pile jacquard knit fabric capable of generating no irregularities in forming pile loops. SOLUTION: This production of jacquard knit fabric in a circular knitting machine is to tighten a pile needle loop on a lower sinker nose surface (5c) by forward movement of the sinker toward the inside during shifting from a last region to a first region (X), subsequently move the sinker backward toward the outside to drop a loosened pile needle loop on the sinker nose (5e) and tighten the dropped pile needle loop on the sinker nose (5e) by forward movement of the sinker toward the inside. It is preferable to move the sinker toward the inside and outside in 1.5-3 mm for tightening the pile needle loop.
