PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition, which is excellent in flame retardancy and fluidity and is well balanced in physical properties including heat resistance and impact resistance. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin composition that comprises, as its essential components, a rubber-modified styrene resin, a polyphenylene ether resin, and an unsaturated (di)carboxylic acid copolymer wherein 0.3 to 50 wt.% of the resin composition consists of the unsaturated (di)carboxylic acid copolymer, (B) 1 to 50 pts.wt. of a phosphorus compound, and (C) 0.01 to 10 pts.wt. of at least one member selected from the group consisting of a silicone graft copolymer and a graft copolymer of a silicone-containing composite rubber.
