摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject hyaluronic acid having an ideal biological compatibility as a medicinal material by partially including a molecular weight fraction having a specific branched degree. SOLUTION: This hyaluronic acid is obtained by partially including a molecular weight fraction having >=0.5 branched degree. The hyaluronic acid in which the hyaluronic acid keeps a crosslinked structure and can be distinguished from a linear hyaluronic acid in a high polymer solution theory as a hyaluronic acid having a branching point. As the molecular weight and the branched degree, e.g., among the method for using differential refractometer and polyangle laser light scattering detector as a detector in a gel permeation chromatogram, by an elution volume method calculating a branched degree in comparing a molecular weight of hyaluronic acid of the same elution volume of fraction to the molecular weight of an objective linear hyaluronic acid. The objective hyaluronic acid can be formed by, e.g. a method for freezing an aqueous solution of hyaluronic acid having pH <=3.5 and thawing.
