PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the workability by installing a multistep opening stay provided with an opening to insert a slidable pin fixed on a side face of the body of a housing of an electronic equipment, a guide recess for guiding the slidable pin, and a plurality of fixing recesses, on the body of a housing of an electronic equipment and a cover. SOLUTION: With the body 10 of a housing of an electronic equipment and a cover 11 connected through a rotary shaft 12 and the cover 11 closed, a slidable pin 2 fixed on a side face of the main body 10 of a housing is inserted into a slidable pin insertion port 7 which is an opening formed in a multistep opening stay 20 and then a cover connection plate 5 is screwed to the cover 11 to be connected to the main body 10 of a housing and the cover 11. The slidable pin 2 is a slotted pin to be prevented from coming off from a guide recess 8 of the stay 20 while the cover connection plate 5 is screwed to the cover 11. Between the slidable pin 2 and the guide recess 8, enough space is secured to provide a free motion (play).
