摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat image display device having an introducing structure which can stably apply a high voltage, and moreover has no discharge and can sufficiently stably supply high voltage to a phosphor. SOLUTION: A flat image display device is structured, such that a supporting frame 7 is held between a rear plate 1 and a face plate 2 so as to construct a vacuum envelope, and a voltage introducing terminal 10 is inserted into the flat image display device so as to introduce a voltage to an electrode 6 of the face plate 2 from the outside of the vacuum envelope. In the device, the voltage introducing terminal 10 is constructed of its center electrode 9, and an insulator 11 that is integrally formed to cover the circumference of the center electrode 9. The center electrode 9 of the voltage introducing terminal 10 is connected to the electrode 6 of the face plate 2, passing through a hole provided at the rear plate 1 or the face plate 2. The height of the insulator 11 at the inside of the vacuum is higher than an arbitrary electrode on the face plate 2 or the rear plate 1. Thereby a high pressure proof is assured and a distance along the creeping surface of the insulator 11.
