PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb impact sound well with sufficient cushioning property and to obtain sufficient soundproofness by binding polyester fiber with hard styrene-butadiene rubber as a binder to form a hard fiber plate. SOLUTION: A fender liner 1 is manufactured by adding and mixing hard styrene-butadiene rubber latex at 100 pts.wt. (50 pts.wt. as solid) to 100 pts.wt of polyester fiber to form sheet-like raw cloth (Metsuke 1000/m2) by a rolling press, and trimming it after hot pressing at 180 deg.C for three minutes. The fender liner 1 is shaped in conformity to the lower face of a fender, and has a suspension shaft through hole part 2 cut out on the upper face center inner side, and clip holes 3 provided in specified parts. Since the fender liner 1 is thus formed of a hard fiber plate, it is lightweight and has cushioning property. Impact during the travel of an atuomobile is therefore alleviated and the generation of impact sound is considerably reduced.
