PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stock solution composition hardly causing change of coloring even when stored for long period at relatively high temperature and useful for fibers, or the like, by adding a boron hydride compound to a mixed solution of an acrylonitrile-based polymer containing vinyl chloride, or the like, with an organic solvent capable of dissolving the polymer. SOLUTION: This stock solution comprises a mixture of an acrylonitrile-based polymer composed of preferably 20-70 wt.% vinyl chloride and/or vinylidene chloride and preferably 30-80 wt.% acrylonitrile with one or more kinds of organic solvents selected from a group comprising dimethyl acetamide, dimethyl formamide and dimethylsulfoxide and preferably 0.001-2 wt.% (based on acrylonitrile-based polymer) boron hydride compound such as sodium boron hydride or potassium boron hydride.
