PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly connect the copper bars of different thicknesses and to reduce the operation load in the pressing of a release lever to a contact pressure spring, by holding a connection conductor between the terminal plates, and mounting a release lever for pushing up a horizontal pressure part pressed and contacted with an upper surface of the terminal plates by the contact pressure spring, from its lower part. SOLUTION: To connect a connection conductor 21 such as an electric wire, a copper bar and the like in a unthreaded terminal device, a release lever 8 is standed to upwardly push a force claw part 9 about a rotary shaft 8a, a space S capable of inserting the connection conductor 21 is formed between an upper surface of a terminal plate 55 and a horizontal pressure part 2, and an insertion port 3 formed on a front plate part 4 is opened. The connection conductor 21 such as the electric wire, the copper bar and the like is inserted into this space S, the standing of a release lever 8 is released, and then the pushing-up of the horizontal pressure part 2 of the contact pressure spring 1 by the force claw part 9 is released. Whereby the connection conductor 21 can be held and connected between the horizontal pressure part 2 and the upper surface of the terminal plate 55 by the elastic force of the contact pressure spring 1.
