PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dyeing device capable of performing a dyeing test in a laboratory showing a good uniform dyeing property by passing through a temperature-controlled dye stuff liquid from both sides of a cloth to be dyed, which is spanned in a hermetically closable dyeing chamber. SOLUTION: This dyeing method is provided by setting a cloth 30 to be dyed in an extended state between both upper and lower grids 35, 36 in a hermetically closable dyeing chamber 20, sucking a dye stuff liquid controlled to a prescribed temperature with a temperature-detecting tool 5 arranged in a distributor 4 for communicating with an expansion chamber 7, through a pouring hopper 1 in the cooperation of an injection valve 3, a discharging valve 8 and a piston 41 up to an amount capable of filling a dyeing chamber 20 and a supplying chamber 40 completely, then passing the dyestuff liquid through from both sides of the cloth 30 repeatedly by reciprocating the piston 41 continuously to perform a uniform dyeing.
