FLAME RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION, ITS MOLDED ARTICLE AND ITS LAMINATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame retardant resin composition from which no harmful substance such as dioxins are emitted on combustion and from which no environmentally harmful component is eluted in the working environment and that can exhibit a high flame retardant performance by blending only a small amount of a flame retardant component to a resin composition. SOLUTION: This flame retardant resin composition is prepared by blending, into a resin composition comprising a resin and an inorganic particulate material, a glass composition that will be melted on combustion as at least a part of the inorganic particulate material. The glass composition 2 is melted during combustion to form a glass melt having a low viscosity, which oozes out over the surface of a molded article along a crazing generated by combustion on a resin matrix 1 to form a glass layer on the surface of a molded article.
