A spray can has a valve seat (12) and a valve dome (16) surrounded by a retaining collar (18). The valve is operated by finger pressure on a spray head (22) resting on a plunger (20). The annular chamber between the valve dome (16) and collar has a non-moving end-stop ring (30) which is press-fitted into the collar.
