PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a gap between a pawl part and a coil and enable elastic deformation of the pawl part in the gap part when a coil is wound around the outer peripheral part of a bobbin so as to surround the pawl, by installing ribs on both sides of the pawl which correspond to the winding position of the coil, in the state that the ribs protrude to the outside. SOLUTION: This variable inductance coil is equipped with an almost cylindrical bobbin 2 having collectively a pawl 4 capable of elastic deformation, a screw type core 3 which is rotatably engaged and retained with the pawl 4 in the cylinder of the bobbin 2, and a coil 8 wound around the outer peripheral part of the bobbin 2. On both sides of the pawl 4 corresponding to the winding position of the coil 8, ribs 7 are formed in the state that the ribs protrude to the outside.
