WAVEGUIDE FEED TYPE ARRAY ANTENNA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam tilt antenna which generates no grating lobe, a molding beam antenna that a moldable area is not limited, and a two- frequency-band sharing antenna and a polarization sharing antenna with high efficiency which uses the same opening surface. SOLUTION: Short sides of feed waveguides 1 which are rectangular waveguides are arrayed in parallel radiation elements 2 are provided on the top surfaces (short-side surface) of the respective feed waveguides 1 at prescribed intervals. An L-shaped probe 6 is provided below each radiation element 2 and inserted into the feed waveguide 1. A bent part at the tip of the L-shaped probe 6 is orthogonal to the waveguide axis. The electric field in the feed waveguide 1 has the same direction as that of the bent part 6a of the L-shaped probe 6 and is therefore coupled; and the coupling quantity M is almost proportional to the length Lb of the bent part 6a. A desired coupling quantity M is therefore obtained by adjusting the length of the bent part 6a for each radiation element 2.
