PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform flexible controls of the number of multi-output copies at a low cost without wasting resources such as recording paper and power energy or needing a troublesome operation. SOLUTION: In a configuration where a recording circuit 16 can output a plurality of copies of received image data, a caller telephone number information detection circuit 22 detects information informed through a communication network before call connection, and a control circuit 20 controls information about a plurality of copies output functions to a caller device after the call connection on the basis of the information, the identification information of the caller device which allows the output of a plurality of copies stored in a telephone number registration circuit 30 or the information of the number of its maximum output copies. The caller device informs whether the output of a plurality of copies is designated on the basis of the information about the plural part output functions that are informed and the number of output copies when the output of a plurality of copies is performed.
