PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency power amplifier circuit of simple constitu tion which prevent phase shift distortion from being added and perform distor tion compensation at power-ON time. SOLUTION: The initial value of an up/down counter 40 is downloaded at a time from a counter initial value generator 48 to shorten the time needed to enter a stable state. The delay quantity of a band-pass filter 31 is selected according to the total delay quantity of a band-pass filter 23, a high-frequency power amplifier 1, and a distributor 24 following an orthogonal modulator 22 to remove distorted higher harmonics and noise of a local oscillation signal and even when the frequency of a modulated high-frequency signal is varied, the circuit operates without any large offset quantity variation for the control of a phase shifter 30.
