PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and accurately set computer communication automatically. SOLUTION: This method employs a portable terminal 2 capable of performing communication with a specific communication standard and a host computer 1 installing software for enabling communication by an exclusive protocol. A storage medium 5 storing the software for specific communication in compliance with the exclusive protocol is installed to the host computer 1 so as to automatically set communication between the host computer 1 and the portable terminal 2.
