PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera equipped with a mechanism contributing to miniaturization and reduction of the cost and accurately performing the opening/ closing operation of an opening/closing cover in the case of loading a lighttight cartridge in which a roll photographic film is housed. SOLUTION: A cartridge cover opening/closing locking and releasing lever 60 is equipped with an opening operation action part 64 and an opening/closing cover opening/closing action part 62. Furthermore, it is also provided with a locking part 65 locking with a locking pin 103, a hook locking part 66 locking with the hook 243 of a cartridge cover 24, a hook edge part serving both as action to release the locking of the locking part 65 with the pin 103 when it is pushed by the hook 243 with the closing operation of the cover 24 and action to energize the cover 24 in a closed state to an opening direction, and a switch changeover part 67 changing over a leaf switch 100 according as the cover 24 is opened/closed.
