PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve yield of material of a bottom and a piston and to simplify structure in a fluid pressure cylinder used as a lift cylinder or the like of a forklift truck and provided with a cushion function. SOLUTION: This fluid pressure cylinder is constituted of a cylinder tube 2, a bottom 3, a piston 4, a piston rod 5, a supply and exhaust port 6, a seat 7, a cylinder hole 8, and a valve element 9. In this case, the piston rod 5 is provided so as to penetrate the piston 4 and the piston 5 is formed with the cylinder hole 8 to which the valve element 9 is provided to be movable. Accordingly, the volume of the bottom 3 and the volume of the piston 4 can be reduced.
