<p>Provided is a system for installing and removing shelf talkers for items in a transaction establishment, comprising a bar code reader which reads a first bar code label of a first shelf talker, a code bar code label of a second item having a second shelf talker already installed, a third bar code label of a third item following removal of a third shelf talker, and a fourth bar code label of a forth item having a fourth shelf talker already removed, and which transmits bar code information for the first second, third and fourth bar code labels and any errors for the second and fourth items. The system may also include a computer which generates a list of the items including the first and second shelf talkers to be installed and the third and fourth shelf talkers to be removed, and which generates a report identifying placement of the first and second shelf talkers for the first and second items and the errors.</p> |
