PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and authenticating video/audio data for monitoring through internet is provided to protect secret of each user and to prevent hacking during data change through efficient video/audio data transmission and simplification of transfer lines as well as by making an authenticated user read/listen to the video/audio data. CONSTITUTION: An authenticated user requests video/audio data transmission through internet. The video/audio data obtained by a camera are transferred to the user through the internet if the transmission is performed for the first time. If not, the initial video/audio data are compared with the present data to obtain video/audio data change rate. Then, the video/audio data change rate is compared with reference value again. Finally, the video/audio data are transmitted to the user if the change rate of the initial video/audio data exceeds the reference value.
