PURPOSE: A portable computer supporting a cover is provided to improve the durability of peripherals by preventing the vibration through supporting the cover stably. CONSTITUTION: A portable computer with a structure for the support of a cover is equipped with a base, a cover, a hinge member, and a supporting member. The cover is equipped with the first face where a display panel is located, and the second face that is opposite to the first face. The hinge member makes a computer have the first position where the second face of the cover is laid, facing the base. The supporting member is installed symmetrically, and when the cover has the location of the first position, the vibration of the cover is prevented by supporting the second face of the cover.
