PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of reducing high-frequency road noise as well as improving run-flat characteristics by optimization of a sectional shape. SOLUTION: A pneumatic radial tire has a carcass layer 2 laid over between a pair of right and left bead portions 1, 1, at least two belt layers 6a, 6b arranged at the outer peripheral side of the carcass layer 2 in a tread portion 5. Convex portions P1, P2 protruding from the inner face of the tire are provided at least either on a buttress portion between a belt end maximum width position B and a carcass maximum width position S, or a filler portion between the carcass maximum width position S and a bead toe R.
