PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent poor fixing, poor sheet carriage and the like and prevent the deformation of a roller during a long period of no usage. SOLUTION: This device puts a roller 4 in press contact with a clamping member 5 for clamping a sheet together with the roller 4 at a preset pressure by using press contact means 7, 8 and changes the contact pressure of the roller 4 put in press contact with the clamping member 5 by the press contact means 7, 8 from the preset pressure to a pressure less than the preset pressure by using a contact pressure changing means 11a. When a door 12 provided in an open/closed manner on a device body 1A and adapted to be open when the contact pressure is changed by the contact pressure changing means 11a is closed, if the contact pressure changing means 11a is located at the position of changing the contact pressure, a contact member 13 for preventing the close of the door 12 and the contact pressure changing means 11a are made to selectively contact each other.
