PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unlocking device for upper and lower opening and closing door comparatively simple in structure and capable of easily unlocking a lock device from a landing side. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a handle member 10 made of a round bar and a weight member 11 welded at a rear end of the handle member 10. By the constitution, when a tip of the handle member 10 is inserted into a handle operation hole 5 of an inside wall 4 of a landing jamb 2 from a landing 1 side and is released, the tip of the handle member 10 is held in a state that the tip is raised by weight of the weight member 11. As a result, because a state that engagement of a hook of a lock device with a locking member is released is kept, unlocking of the lock device and opening and closing operations of an upper side door 3A and a lower side door 3B can be performed by only a worker from the landing 1 side. Because the worker can open and close the doors 3A, 3B by both hands, physical fatigue of the worker can be mitigated.
