PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 1-3 compound piezoelectric body with which desired weighting is provided in the piezoelectric body itself so as to perform the desired weighting [weighting of amplitude (sound pressure)] at low cost. SOLUTION: Concerning a 1-3 compound piezoelectric body 1 composed of piezoelectric ceramics and polymeric materials, the 1-3 compound piezoelectric body 1 has a structure changing the volume ratio of piezoelectric ceramics 2. Namely, the ratio of the volume of the piezoelectric ceramics 2 and the volume of polymeric materials 3 in the 1-3 compound piezoelectric body 1 is changed partially along with a slice direction at the time of producing an ultrasonic probe.
