PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a silver alloy magnetizable, to magnetize a worked and fabricated personal ornament to high magnetic flux density, and to attain high grade impression as noble metal at a low cost by providing a silver alloy composition consisting of specific amounts of silver, manganese and aluminum. SOLUTION: The magnetizable silver alloy is obtained by providing a composition containing, by weight, 80-90% silver, 13-7% manganese and 7-3% aluminum. The silver alloy is subjected to working, such as melting by heating, wire drawing, knitting and weaving, solution heat treatment and aging treatment, to fabricate a personal ornament, which is further subjected to magnetizing treatment by the use of a magnetizer to obtain the magnetized personal ornament made of silver alloy having at least 50 mT (500 gauss) magnetic flux density. This magnetized personal ornament made of the silver alloy can be obtained at low manufacturing cost as compared with personal ornaments made of gold- platinum-cobalt alloy, etc., and can withstand use over a long period without causing peeling of plating, etc.
