MODIFIER FOR ASPHALT, MODIFIED ASPHALT, ASPHALT MIXTURE AND ASPHALT PAVING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a modifier for an asphalt capable of forming a modified asphalt having a relatively low viscosity and an asphalt pavement having sufficient durability. SOLUTION: This modifier is capable of enhancing the dynamic stability by addition thereof to an asphalt and is obtained by regulating the viscosity of a modified asphalt at 60 deg.C to <10 times the viscosity of the asphalt prior to the addition at 60 deg.C when adding 10 pts.wt. of the modifier to 100 pts.wt. of the asphalt and regulating the dynamic stability of an asphalt mixture when compounding 95 pts.wt. of an aggregate with 5 pts.wt. of the modified asphalt to >=1,500 times/mm or regulating the viscosity of the modified asphalt at 60 deg.C to <20,000 P and the dynamic stability of the asphalt mixture when compounding 95 pts.wt. of the aggregate with 5 pts.wt. of the modified asphalt to >=1,500 times/mm.
