PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily purify a palladium phosphine complex by washing a specific palladium phosphine complex deteriorated in its reactivity with a specific organic solvent. SOLUTION: This method is to wash a palladium phosphine complex deteriorated in its reactivity which is expressed by the formula Pd(PAr3)4 [wherein Ar is a (substituted) phenyl], e.g. tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium, tetrakis[tri(o-tolyl)phosphine]palladium, etc., with at least one selected from the following organic solvents preferably in the presence of an inert gas (e.g. nitrogen gas, argon gas, etc.), preferably at 0 to 100 deg.C: an aliphatic ketone-based solvent (e.g. acetone, methyl ethyl ketone etc.); an alcoholic solvent (e.g. methanol, ethanol, etc.); an ether-based solvent (e.g. tetrahydrofuran, etc.); and an aprotic polar solvent (e.g. N,N-dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, etc.).
