PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a sheet curl having a complex shape with a simple structure by detecting a sheet curl condition in the horizontal direction to a sheet conveyance direction and forcibly curling a sheet beforehand in one direction. SOLUTION: A sheet curl detector 231 measures the amount of sheet displacement in a diagonal direction to a sheet conveyance direction and detects a sheet curl. Sheet guides 232, 233 are controlled according to the detected results of the sheet curl detector 231. When the sheet curl is complex, the sheet is reformed into a downward curl by a curl generating part 111, the amount of curl is detected by a sensor 131, and corrected by a curl correcting part so as to meet the amount of the curl for delivering. When the curl is directed downward, the sheet is conveyed to a curl correcting part 112 without through the curl generating part 111, and its curl is corrected for delivering. When the sheet has no curls, the sheet is delivered just as it is through a sheet feeding path B and a sheet feeding roll 142.
