PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the working of the parts of a side plate and a blade and improve assembling workability by, in fixing a blade in between two bodies of side plates, bringing the blade into contact with the respective side plates utilizing a plurality of projecting parts formed on the facing sides of the respective side plates so as to project and fixing them according to a welding method utilizing electric resistance. SOLUTION: In manufacturing an impeller, two bodies of circular-shaped side plates 1, 2, and a plurality of blades 3 are prepared; the former has a plurality of projecting parts 1a, 2a and side notched parts 1b, 2b for position regulation formed into a prescribed shape at prescribed positions and the latter is subjected to bending processing into a prescribed curved shape. One side plate 2 is placed at a prescribed position on a lower electrode with a projecting part 2a facing upward, on which a blade regulation nest is placed at a prescribed position. The respective blades 3 are fitted into a plurality of curve-shaped nest holes formed at the nest. Under this condition, the upper electrode of a welding machine is pressed against the upper side of the blades 3 for carrying current, thereby welding the respective blades 3 to the side plate 2. Likewise, the other side plate 1 is placed to weld the other ends of the blades 3 to the side plate 1.
