PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun capable of adjusting HCR asymmetrical amount without changing the height of a side plate and being reduced in cost, and a cathode ray tube receiver using the electron gun. SOLUTION: In a comber cup 27 provided at the tip part of an electron gun, HCR asymmetrical amount is adjusted without changing lengths (heights) of side plates 32-1, 32-2 and 33-1, 33-2 by forming a pair of small holes 34-1, 34-2 for fine adjustment symmetrically with respect to an axial center O on the peripheral wall and changing opening angles and hole diameters of the small holes 34-1, 34-2 for fine adjustment.
