PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stud wherein peeling off or falling off of coated layer on a castable refractory can effectively be prevented, and a lance pipe using the studs. SOLUTION: The stud is composed of one pair of arm parts extended in two directions from a fitted base part and return parts extended outward from these arm parts, respectively. The lance pipe is provided with a core metal 2, studs arranged on the outer surface of the core metal 2 and the coated layer 3 of the castable refractory covering the outer surface of the core metal. Two pieces of studs are disposed in radial state and with an equal interval with the axis of the core metal as the center on the transverse surface of the core metal. The studs arrangement is repeated in the longitudinal direction of the core metal for each unit composed of a perpendicular disposing type stud (1), where the V-shaped plane is perpendicular to the core metal axis, and a perpendicular disposing type stud (2) is disposed so as to shift by 90 deg. to the stud (1), a disposing stud (3) is disposed parallel to the core metal axis and a parallel disposing stud (4) is disposed so as to shift by 90 deg. to the stud (3).
