PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn on a display device remotely in response to user request.SOLUTION: When connected to a projector 10A, an information processing apparatus 20 displays a screen for setting whether to enable a communication during power-off. When settings are configured to enable the communication during power-off, in the information processing apparatus 20, the projector 10A supplies power to a communication unit during power-off. When a power-off instruction is transmitted from the information processing apparatus 20 to the projector 10A, the projector 10A is turned off, while the communication unit is supplied with power, to maintain the connection with the information processing apparatus 20. When the information processing apparatus 20 is operated to turn on the projector 10A, the information processing apparatus 20 transmits a power-on instruction.
