PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor post capable of rapidly adjusting the height and excellent in working efficiency. SOLUTION: A tubular body 4 with a sleeper receiving plate 5 and a spring receiving part 7 fixed to an upper end and a lower end, respectively is freely fitted to a threaded rod 3 erected on a base plate 1 in am expandable manner. A locking piece 10 comprising a lower washer having an operation part 10a and a locking part 10b opposite to each other is freely fitted to the threaded rod 3 in the tubular body 4, the locking port 10b is locked to a through hole 11 in the tubular body 4, and the operation part 10a is inserted in a longitudinally long hole 12 in the tubular body 4, and projected outside the tubular body 4. The locking piece 10 is upwardly pressed and urged by a spring body 13, and inclined with the locking part 10b as a support point, and an inner circumferential edge of the locking piece 10 is locked to a thread of the threaded rod 3 to prevent the tubular body 4 from being lowered. This floor post is expandable by pressing down the operation part 10a of the locking piece 10.
