PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a road face temperature estimation device capable of estimating temperature variation of a highway bridge by providing a plurality of temperature sensors having different installation depths respectively to measure temperature difference and estimating heat transfer rate by means of a road face analyser. SOLUTION: First and second road temperature sensors 26, 27 are installed at the road face 23 of a highway bridge and the lower end 24 to be connected to a road condition analyzer 29 which calculates the output of a road heater 25 and gives an instruction to a temperature controller 28. The temperature difference between the road face 23 of the highway bridge and the lower end 24 of a structure is regarded as a heat source in the road condition analyzer 29 and the heat transfer rate resulting from the heat balance of the surface/structure bottom face is estimated. In order to efficiently control the road heater 25, it is most desirable to control the output on the basis of the road face temperature and variation estimation, but since then by the estimation of the heat transfer rate, the variation of temperature of the road face can be estimated. In this way, the temperature variation special to the highway bridge can be accurately estimated.
