PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method for a stepped part, which serves as the slip-out preventing device for the tip end unit of a hose end, without affecting to the inner diameter of a tip end opening unit of the hose end and a heat generating body unit employed for the forming method. SOLUTION: A guide 41, constituted of a heat insulating material having an outer diameter substantially equal to the inner diameter of tip end opening unit 3a of a hose end 3, formed of a thermoplastic resin, is equipped. A resistance heat generating body 20, having an abutting surface at the deep place of an inner diameter wall surface 26, is inserted into the tip end opening unit 3a of the hose end 3 so that the inner diameter wall surface 26 of the resistance heat generating body 20 covers the outer diameter surface 7 of tip end unit 6 of the hose end 3, then, heat of the resistance heat generating body 20 is generated while pushing the head 22 against the tip end unit 6 of the hose end 3 to melt the tip end unit 6 of the hose end 3. Subsequently, the head 22 and the molten part are cooled to form a slip-out preventing step 8 on the outer diameter surface 7 of tip end unit 6 of the hose end 3 integrally.
