PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens drive assembly which allows the constitution of the assembly with simple constitution and the downsizing and electric power saving of the assembly and may be always stably operated. SOLUTION: The objective lens drive assembly has a lens holder 2 which is operatively supported in a focusing direction and a tracking direction and holds the objective lens 1 for focusing a light beam and irradiating a recording medium with the convergent light, one drive magnet 6 which is held at the lens holder 2 and operates together with the lens holder 2, focusing coils 3 and tracking coils 4 which drive the lens holder 2 in the focusing direction and the tracking direction by the electromagnetic force with the drive magnet 6 and plural magnetic yokes 5 which are wound with the focusing coils 3 and the tracking coils 4. The drive magnet 6 is arranged between the magnetic yokes 5 and sub-yokes 10 and 10 are arranged around the drive magnet 6.
