摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a steel heat sink which is controlled so as to be smaller in surface area than specified by a method wherein the main body of the steel heat sink is formed of steel plate where material whose heat radiation coefficient is above specified is applied on its surface. SOLUTION: A heat sink is formed through such a manner where one coating material selected out of natural resin coating material such as varnish, synthetic resin coating material such as lacquer, and glass coating material such as enamel is applied onto all the surface of a belt-like steel plate, then the coating material applied on the steel plate is turned to an insulating layer through a surface treatment, and the steel plate is formed into U-shaped bodies by pressing and cutting. A steel plate coated with the above insulating layer whose heat radiation coefficient is 0.8 or above is made to serve as a material for a heat sink main body. By this setup, when a heat sink is formed of a steel plate, the surface area of the heat sink can be limited to 25.5 cm2 or below.
