摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a foam employable as a sealing material, or the like, excellent in oil resistance and cushioning properties by impregnating an elastic foam having an open cell with a mixture liquid of a polysulfide-based polymer with a curing agent and subsequently effecting cure. SOLUTION: A polysulfide-based polymer has a structure represented by the formula and preferably is liquid at ordinary temperatures. As an elastic foam having an open cell is employed, for example, a flexible polyurethane foam, a rubber foam, a PVC foam. These foams are prepared by a continuous manufacturing method called a slab foaming method and desirably have a density in the range of 15-40 kg/m3, and an air permeability of larger than 2 dm3/sec is required. The polysulfide-based polymer is obtained by emulsion polymerization of bis(chloroethyl formal) with a sodium polysulfide followed by reduction. As a curing agent, is employed lead dioxide, or the like. After impregnated with a mixture liquid, the foam is heated to 40-170 deg.C to effect cure.
