PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device which transports and exposes a photographic sensitive material at a stable speed in an exposure section and is capable of forming high-quality images by correcting the transporting speed of an immediate upstream side transporting means or an immediate downstream side transporting means of an exposure unit by speed correcting means. SOLUTION: The supply side unit 101 on the upstream side and the first transporting unit 141 on the downstream side of the exposure unit 121 are provided with the speed correcting means for correcting the transporting speeds. When an inspection command is received, the image of a test pattern formed of the predetermined single color of gray over the entire surface is outputted to the photographic sensitive material by the exposure head 41 of a PLZT element. Whether the resulted image is outputted in compliance with the test pattern or not is visually checked. If bandings of Y, M and C are generated in the output image, the transporting speed of either of the units 101 and 141 on the upstream side and the downstream side is lower than the transporting speed of the exposure unit 121 and therefore which thereof is lower is judged and the speed is corrected.
