PRIMER COMPOSITION FOR FIXING PHOTOCATALYTIC THIN FILM ON ORGANIC SUBSTRATE, AND PHOTOCATALYTIC MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a primer composition for forming a photocatalytic thin film having good hydrophilicity, adhesion and durability on an organic substrate at a low temperature, and further to provide a photocatalytic member. SOLUTION: This primer composition for fixing the photocatalytic titanium oxide thin film to the organic substrate is obtained by mixing two or more kinds of hybrid polymers having different ratio of organic to inorganic components regulated so that the amount of the organic components may be 30-80 pts.wt. and that of the inorganic components may be 70-20 pts.wt. The photocatalytic member is obtained by forming a layer containing photocatalytic titanium oxide particles through a layer obtained by hardening the primer layer.
